Graduation time!

Hello to all my bloggie friends out there! Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful day, or has had a wonderful day lol. Here where I live the day is almost over with.
My daughter graduated from High School today! I am so proud of her, (and I didn't cry...well not much lol). I am finally getting some quiet time. After graduation all the family came over and we had a cook-out. The weather was great and it's nice having every one over and just chit chatting. But, it wears you out...so I am enjoying the peace and quiet right now :)
Hopefully I will have some pics up soon. I plan on doing a LO of her graduation, but I have a few things on the front burner right now ..still working on the 2  books and I am in a blog hop. The blinkie is posted on the left. I will have some more info on that in a day or two. So stop back by and join us for that. Okay, that is enough about me. I am going to hop on over to your blogs and check them out before I go to bed. Thanks for stopping by.

Baby LO #2

Hello everyone.. this is another LO for the baby book I am making.  You will be seeing quite a bit of  baby themed LO's and also some Nursery Rhymes LO's that I am making for a couple of my friends. Since I was making them anyway, thought I might as well share them with all my bloggie friends too :)
This is a really simple 2 page LO that I made. I put some 4x6 frames for the pictures of the cutie patootie and left the smaller ones for any journaling or other pics she might want to add on. I also added another row of scalloped ovals on the 2cd page in case there was anything she wanted to write on there.
I'm still thinking it is missing something. I'm trying not to over-do the frills on this book (since it is for a boy after all... but you just gotta add something)!   Soooo...I think I might add a cute little baby from the Paper Doll cart. Especially since I got a new shipment in from my all time favorite face stamp store. Peachy Keen.
I got the one that has the faces with the pacifier...Adorable...
Anyway, when I cut out the cute little guy I will post a pic of him, and anything else I might add lol. I just can't help myself. hehe.
  Talk to you later,
(:(:Smiles:):)

Baby LO

Hey everyone, hope your day is going well. This is one of the baby book layouts, that I am making for a friend of mine. See I told you I wasn't slacking hehe.
This one was a little time consuming just putting the wainscoting along the  bottom edge of my "wallpaper". The towels are from Sweethearts Cart,  The boy and the tub are from ACY, but I had to make them go together. The tub origanally had the girl in it, but this is a baby book for a boy so I cut out the boy with the bubbles and just cut the girl off of the tub. I really liked the way it turned out. I also will have some really simple pages too for you this week.

Happy Saturday :)

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful week end. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I have been working on alot of stuff lately and just haven't gotten to take any pics of them. I have a baby book to do and a nursery rhyme book also for a friend of mine. Boy oh Boy... it seems like this month is just chocked full of things that I have to get done.
Along with the 2 different books I have to get finished up...my daughter is graduating ..we had to go to the college today and get her registered(which by the way, is still not done). Uggghhhh have to go back and take some papers that I wasn't aware that I needed. That is just about my luck lol.
Also I have to try to squeeze in a graduation party for my daughter by the end of the week.. then add in 40 hours at work. I'm feeling stretched a little thin hehe.
Soon as I get some pics taken, I promise I will share them with you

NSD Challenge #5

Okay folks, this is the last entry for me for the My Pink Stamper Challenges for NSD. I really was hoping to be able to do all of them. Although I am happy with what I  did get accomplished.  This challenge was for (anything but). I have been wanting to make a tag...this is my first try at one. This challenge just gave me the nudge I needed to make it. I made it to send to someone. I hope she likes it (fingers crossed lol).

But, I think I did pretty good for the week-end that I have had and having to work also. This challenge was to make something with a breast cancer theme. This is what I came up with....
I had this ribbon with the tulle on it that I thought I would try to incorportate into the card. I thought it turned out pretty good:)

Happy Mother's Day

Good morning, and Happy Mother's day to you all. Guess what I woke up to this morning!
Yes, my kids are the best! Not only did they get me a card and my favorite chocolates, but they added in roses and a cricut cartridge to boot!! I am so blessed to have such wonderful kids. They wrote lovely sentiments on the inside of the card and just having that would have been enough for me. They always go the extra mile for me and I am truly happy to have such wonderful kids.
I hope that you have a wonderful Mother's day , I have more posts from the NSD challenges from My Pink Stamper to upload. It was such a hectic day yesterday that I didn't get to post the entries that I made. I am still trying to catch up on the ones that I didn't get to. I had planned on just scrapbooking for most of the day with everyone else...but we all know how life can get in the way, lol. So I did what I could for the challenges, but was just too tired to try and post them all. I will have some up later and probably in to tomorrow. Hopefully before the deadline.

Thanks for stopping by.

Relay for Life Poster

Good morning everyone. I thought I would share my poster that I made for our booth at the ACS Relay for Life event today. I am so proud to have been a part of the event this year. It has been alot of hard work raising money for the ACS, but I have really enjoyed it. (My co-workers enjoyed it too, they are wondering what they are going to eat now lol). Needless to say I have been a cook for everyone there hehe...I have made them everything from biscuits and gravy to bbq dinners and homemade candy. I think they were getting a little spoiled. That's okay though it is for a good cause.

I think that cancer has touched everyone in some way or other...from a friend to a relative to a co-worker or even yourself. I really admire all the people who have had to fight against this awful disease. The strength and determination that it must take just to get through it. I can't even begin to imagine. To all the survivors..I pray that the Lord will bless you and keep you in the palm of his hands.

A birthday card

Hello to all of my bloggie friends out there. I have another project done. Boy, I am really on the ball this week. I actually got posts up for all 3 days. Usually I am good to get 1 a week. lol ( life has been really  hectic, with family stuff, relay for life  stuff, and general work stuff). Yep STUFF gets in the way all the time hehe. I told my friend the other day that I felt like my brain was going to bust out of my head, because I keep trying to cram too much information into it lol.  Anyway that's enough about my drama lol.  On to my therapy:)   I had actually made this card from the sketch challenge at Peachy keen....but, me trying to hurry and get things done, I missed one small detail that I was supposed to incorporate into this card. A stamped image!!

Oh well :(     I thought it turned out pretty good anyway. My mom really liked it , so that is all that counts.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to visit with me.

Re-vamped 8x8's

Hello to all my bloggy friends. I hope you are having a great day. Today I thought I would show you the 8x8's that I had previously made and ended up changing them into 12x12's.
For this one I really didn't do much to add to it, just added a strip of patterned paper on the side...
On this one, I wanted to add a few more things to it to spruce it up some. I decided to put some presents along the bottom and add a cake to it. It is a birthday party after all hehe. I also added a tag to hang from the side. (I have had these vellum tags laying around for years and never used them..but I saw someone use them and put pattern paper over them and it looked neat to me). So, I thought I would give it a try.
Now I have to go and fix my other one that I made an 8x8 and I will be caught up with them. :P
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Another layout for my mom's album...

If you read my previous post, then you know that I changed my mom's album from an 8x8 to a 12x12. I didn't realize that I was going to have to pay more for an 8x8 than a 12x12. Sooo I changed it up a little and decided to make her a 12x12. I had to re-vamp some of the 8x8's that I had started, but that's okay.
I have never used a banner on a LO, but Peachy Keen LFIF's challenge for this week is to use a banner on a project along with some of their adorable peachy faces. This is what I came up with.

I used my cricut markers for the letters on my banner, and  Plantain Schoolbook with the roly poly feature..(I think..) I used the biggest font on it.  Then I colored in the inside with a darker green marker. I was going to make the cupcake into a card so that I could write on the inside, but I ended up not welding it right and to fix it I just put a brad through it and made it so that I could just slide it around.(problem solved hehe). I hope you like this LO as much as I did. I really liked using the banner on it. Hopefully mom will like it too.
  Thanks for stopping by

Good evening to you:)

I hope everyone is having an enjoyable week-end. I have been trying to post another LO for my mom's book, but I am having a bit of trouble with my computer :(    I loaded all the pics on my puter and was trying to add them to my post, but I clicked the wrong thing and it wouldn't let me fix it for some reason. (I think it is human error not computer error). So I am using my daughter's computer which doesn't have a camera card port and I thought I would at least make a post and try again later.
I know that I said I was going to make my mom an 8x8 album.....but, after going to 3 different craft stores Saturday. I found that it was going to cost me more to buy an 8x8 than it was to just go ahead and get a 12x12.  So, I  bought the 12x12 (it was the principle of the thing!!!) I know it will probably end up being more in the long run, since I will be using more paper. I just couldn't make myself pay more for something that was smaller hehe.
I will try to have the picture up tonight or tomorrow  for the LO that I made today and the re-vamped 8x8's that I made into 12x12's.
On the bright side :) while shopping I got tape refills for my atg gun for less than 5 bucks!!!! Can you believe that. LOL Michaels had them on sale  and my husband bought one for me with a 40% off coupon and I had a 20% off total purchase coupon so I got 2 boxes for less than 10 dollars. Needless to say, I was a very happy camper when I got through the register and realized they were on sale. :)
