Merry Christmas

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!

Last week I had a Halloween card to show you showcasing some of the awesome products from the Pinque Peacock shop and today I thought I would do another Holiday card and go with a Christmas theme. (You can never have enough Christmas cards lol )

With this card I decided to show you some of the beautiful pins that Jessica can make for you. She has so many wonderful colors that you can get just about any kind you are looking for to match your project that you are working on!

I absolutely love these pins and they are one of my most favorite things in the shop :)

I also used one of the  Petaloo flowers from a pack that I bought from the shop to top off my 3 Girl Jam Ribbon.

If you want to see more of the items she has available just hop on over to the shop and check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed :)

Have a great day!!

Creative Blog Tour

Hello everyone and welcome!

I am excited to be a part of the Creative Blog Tour :)  I was invited to take part in it by Janet from  http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/ She is a super talented lady that I have had the pleasure of being on a Design Team together.

I have gotten to know many people through blogging and Design Teams. I love being able to visit everyone's blog and see what they are up to at the moment! Everyone is so creative and inspirational with all of the things that they do :)

1. What am I working on?
I have been working on Design Team Projects, gifts for my nieces for the concert they were going to and projects for my business that I just recently started Southern Created.

This is the card I made for my DT post.

I used some Halloween  papers " Chillington Manor "  added some black soot TH ink to the sides of the cardstock and then added a Pleated Petal from the Pinque Peacock shop.

I also made these shirts for my nieces going to their most favorite band's concert!

Actually I think my niece is obsessed with them LOL.. aahhh to be a teen again and have a crush on your favorite band LOL

These are a few of the projects I have been working on for my business page :)

 A personalized key holder...
A personalized tall skinny acrylic cup.

and some football shirts for the little league mom's :)

and I am also working on some Frozen themed ornaments and other Christmas ornaments.

2. How does my work differ from others of it's genera ?
I guess you could say my work is clean and somewhat simplistic. I'm not a messy crafter ( well unless you count the craftroom LOL)  I don't use a lot of pastes or glitters on my projects.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I have always been exposed to crafting. My mother has made a wide range of things ever since I was a little girl. I guess that is where I got my crafting bug from. I love to do everything from cards and scrapbooking to personalized growth charts and wedding tiles :)

4. How does your writing/creating process work?
I usually just play around with things I have until I get the look I am going for.

I have a couple more creative bloggers that will be sharing with you next Monday the 29th.

My sister just got into blogging and loves sharing her new ventures with everyone and you can find her blog here at Happy Homesteading. She has some awesome things going on over there so check it out next Monday :)

I also have a wonderful friend who I am currently on a DT with to share some awesome projects with you Rhonda at Flowers and More by Rhonda. She always has something beautiful to share.

Thanks for joining me on this Blog Tour :)  Have a great day !

I also cut 2 of each of my images, so that I could layer them on my card to give it a more dimensional look.

"Have a sun-sational day "

Hi everyone!! So glad you dropped by :)

We are having a challenge over at the Pinque Peacock Challenge blog and we would love for you to check it out and enter one of your wonderful creations!

The theme for the challenge this go around is "Summer" Super easy and simple :)

I absolutely love summer. I am not a winter girl by any means lol. I like it nice and warm, I can never seem to get warm enough when it's winter out. So, this challenge was right up my alley.

I  love Mickey and all things Disney. I decided to do a card with Mickey and add one of the awesome embellishments Jessica has at the Pinque Peacock Store.

Now this is my kind of "Summer" sitting around at the beach with your sunglasses on and not a care in the world hehe.

While making this card I decided to make it a folded card ( now I can't quite remember what this kind of card is called...I'm sure I will remember it after my post goes live lol ) I kind of winged it on this and just cut my card stock to the size I wanted it and then scored the front flap in half, taped the bottom half of my image down. So that it would fold in half and my image would stand upright.

On the inside of the card I added some waves to act as the card holder. So that the top would have something to rest against in order for it not to fall down.

The cute little "sun" that is on there is actually a burlap flower that I got from Jessica in my DT goodies. It started out as a light beige color, but since the sun is yellow. I decided to change it up a bit.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers. Which you can get at the store also :)

Have a great day and don't forget to enter your Summer themed project. You could have a chance to win a Gift Certificate to get some of your own goodies from the shop!

I found this cute image in the Silhouette store.

You can get awesome embellishments from the store here. Lots to choose from and Jesssica will work with you to get you exactly what you want :)
