Congrats card w/heat embossing

Hi everyone, I have a card to share with you today.  It's Technique week over at MEFY and the technique  is to use heat embossing on your card, and this is what I came up with.
I heat embossed this stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and then went over it with my Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink. I matted it on 2 pieces of cardstock that I cut using my Storybook Cricut cartridge and added some rolled flowers with pearls and bling. Then I stamped the congrats onto a piece of paper and heat embossed that also.

This is a close up of the heat embossing on my card.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to jump on over to Made Especially for You and enter your card for the challenge.
The winner of the challenge will be getting a $10 gift certificate to

My Minds Eye w/ eyelets...

Hello to all my blogging buddies out there ;)   I hope you are having a great start to your week.
It's challenge day over at Made Especially for You and I have a card to show you!!

A.C. Moore had these MME stacks on sale and I couldn't resist getting some of them. I loved the colors in this one and wanted to do a card with a kind of shabby chic flair to it. I decided to use the page with the birdcage on it and then I cut out another birdcage and pop dotted it on top of the first one. Then I tried making some rolled flowers, I think they turned out pretty well for a first timer hehe.
Then I added some pearls , a feather , and of course 3 eyelets.

Which brings me to our challenge for this week. Use 3 eyelets , simple enough ...right??
So get out your eyelets  and make a card to enter in the challenge and you could win
a set of stamps from Whimsical Designs - http://www.whimsical-designs.com/

What a fantastic prize!!   Can't wait to see your entry.
Thanks for stopping by

Do you Speak Cricut Saturday- Paper Doll Dress up

Hi everyone,  Robin here from the cricut scrapper and  I hope you are having a great weekend!!
On Saturday's here  at Made Especially for you. Ashley or one of the design team members features a cricut cartridge. Today is my day and the cartridge that I wanted to feature is one of my all time favorites!! Paper Doll Dress Up, this cartridge is one of the first cartridges that I purchased and I use it over and over again.

This cartridge has just about everything. It is great for any kind of theme that you are working with, western, Thanksgiving, halloween, wedding, and christmas, just to name a few. (Believe me I could go on and on...but, I'm gonna try to keep this sort of short lol) Let me just show you what images this awesome cart has to offer...
...and this picture really doesn't do it justice, if you want to see the handbook you can go here.

Now, you start off with your basic doll and just dress  it up hehe. It also has awesome accessories to go with whatever doll you are wanting to make for your card, layout or whatever project you are working on. For example if you wanted to make a cute little princess  to go on a Layout that you are making of your little princess in training :) You just cut out the doll, add the hair, dress, and shoes and there you have your oh so cute princess. But, wait there's more! You can also add a cute little crown ,frog necklace or even a castle to make your project even cuter! They also have a prince or a knight in shining armor if you need one of those lol.
There are also some great borders on the last page with a fence, stars, waves and other great cuts.

Here are a few cuties that I made to show you...
You can add some doodling, glitter, or leave them plain just the way they are cut (I did all three here to show you)
either way they are just too cute.  I also added some Peachy faces to them, but it cuts out a face for you if you want to go that route, ( I just did the hide contour on my gypsy, so that I could add my faces)
This cartridge has 6 features headwear, accessories 1, accessories 2, accessories 3, tabs, and blackout.
If you have any small children that like to play paper dolls the tabs feature is for you,  you can cut out your paper doll and make the clothes to interchange on them!
Now I wanted to show you a couple more thing before I go. This is a card I made for Thanksgiving with my little pilgrim girl...

and this is a halloween layout I did using the cute ghost from this cartridge.

If this is one of the cartridges you have been on the fence about, just hop on over you won't be dissapointed :)
Thanks so much for stopping by

Got chipboard??

Hi everyone and welcome to another Made Especially for you Monday challenge!! For our challenge this week, the DT had to make a father's day card using chipboard.

Our sponser this week is Priscilla Styles - http://priscillastyles-store.blogspot.com/
and they are giving one lucky winner a  $10 gift certificate to the store
How awesome!! They have some really cute images to choose from:)

Now, I didn't have any "manly" chipboard pieces to use for my card.  The only thing I had was one that had "princess" on it, I didn't really think that any of  the men in my family would really want one with that on it lol. Since, I don't really buy many chipboard pieces.... or any for that matter. I decided to make my own. I had plain chipboard on hand that I had used for a previous project and decided why not make my own:)
It was really easy to do. I had the handy man cricut lite cart and decided I wanted to use the circular saw image. I cut out all the pieces for it and then I cut out the shadow piece on the chipboard and a gray piece of cardstock. I inked up the edges with vintage photo and then glued the gray piece to the chipboard and sanded the edges a little. I then added the other extra pieces on top and...tadaa I had a manly chipboard piece.
I liked it so much that I decided to make three circles out of the chipboard and covered them the same way then just stamped the D.A.D on top of them with my MS alphabet stamp set. I then wanted to add a sentiment to it ...so I came up with something and just printed it out with my computer on to some cardstock and cut it into a banner to add to the bottom of the card.
That's it. Really simple and easy! So come on over to MEFY and enter your father's day card using chipboard. The rest of the DT did an awesome job with their cards :)   Looking forward to seeing your entry in the challenge!
I'm entering this card into a few challenges also, and they are:
1.Cards for men- Father's day
2.Crafty cardmakers- Distress it!
3.Exploring Cricut- Father's Day
4. Lexi's Creations- For the man/boy in our lives
5. Love to create-Father's day or that special guy
6.Make it Monday- Anything goes
7.My graphico challenge - Tool time father's day challenge
