Hello everyone, I'm so glad you stopped by :)

Today I have a double layout to share with you that I made for our challenge at Red Carpet Studio!

Our challenge today is inspired by the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" Since the layout team and the card team are both doing this challenge you can make an anything goes layout, or card of anything  "sweet" :)

This is my 2 page layout that I made for a friend of mine for her scrapbook:) It is for the baby's first birthday. I cut the birthday cake and the number 1 in half :D I got this idea from Lauren's Creative she has some amazing layouts (thanks for the inpiration Lauren :)  and I have to admit I have scraplifted a few for my albums. They are soo cute! I couldn't help myself hehe. I changed a few things, but the layout of it is the same:)

I used some papers that I had on hand, from an all seasons stack that I purchased at Hobby Lobby a few years ago:) The cuts came from the Celebrations cricut cartridge. I also added some twine for the ribbons on the presents and added some bling to the brithday cake. For the bottom of the cake I also cut out some circles for the "icing" on the bottom :)

Our sponser this week is  Vampire Craftin - http://www.etsy.com/shop/VampireCraftin

Stacy is offering the lucky winner a Blog makeover! Custom made banner, blog button, background and signature, along with installation help:)  WOW!! Wish I could enter hehe.

Okay everyone  get your craft mojo on and get those layouts submitted ,this is one prize you will want to win:D
I can't wait to see what you come up with, just submit your entry over at Red Carpet Studio and Good Luck!!

Christmas Layout

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you stopped by :)

Our Layout challenge starts today over at Red Carpet Studios.
I used my MS punch for the snowflake border and the individual snowflake on the bottom of the page. The Christmas title and the little Santa tag was cut on my silhouette:)   and I put a little strip of the washi tape with the presents on it along the side :) I also used some of my twine added to the bottom of my photos.

This is the challenge for this week, it is inspired by the movie

True black,IG1,IG2,IG4,BGR1,BT2,BT4,BT5,TB1,TB5,TB6
and my Martha Stewart snowflake punch to punch the border and took the little leftover
snowflakes and put them on a 3/4 inch circle.

Christmas decor

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day!

I just wanted to share a little something that I made today.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the image in vinyl and adhered it to a glass block that I bought at A.C. Moore:) Then I made a bow to go around it and now all I have to do is get the lights to go in it and put it up on my mantel.

This is the front view...

and this is the top view of my bow :D

I thought it turned out pretty good for my first attempt :)
I am entering this into the following challenges :
1. 3 Girl Jam = Christmas Inspiration

Thanks for stoppping by and letting me share part of my day with you.

Glittered ornaments

Hi! I am glad you came to visit today :) I know I haven't been posting much lately, but it seems like the holidays always seem to have me rushed. Working in the retail buisness doesn't really help either LOL.

I have been trying to get a few projects done. Like, some glittered ornaments that I am making for my son. While I was looking around I found a cut file for the "I love you" sign in sign language. Since, my mom and dad are deaf I knew they would love this. So, I kinda got sidetracked and made theirs first before I finished my son's lol ;) These are what they look like and I really like how they turned out. I am thinking I may make some for myself!

This is a picture of the front of the ornament...

this is the other side (I ended up changing the bow on it before I gave it to them...

and this is the whole set that I made them.
Aren't they adorable??
When I get some more projects done, I will share them with you. I have about 3 or 4 more things I am wanting to try out and make hehe.

Thanks for stopping by and
Have a great day!!

Poinsetta

Hello everyone:)

Goodness the days are just flying by!! I seem to be getting later and later on my posts..these holidays are just getting the best of me lol.

Made Especially For You's challenge is up and it is a really easy one and fits right in with the theme that is going on right now :)  Our challenge is to make a Christmas card with a die cut. Now, as I said these holidays are really getting me. It seems like everytime I get something done, I have 2 more things to do in it's place! If I make it through the holidays it will be a miracle!!

So, I kinda took the easy way out.  The silhouette store was having a great black friday deal where you could get all of the images for half off...just 50 cents. Woo hoo!! They have great images wording layouts and cards...oh yeah cards!! I decided to try out one of the cute cards they had:) It has the dimensions and different parts all ready for you to cut :D All I had to do was add the colored paper and put it togethere. Now that's my kind of easy hehe.  Okay, I am making this post a bit longer than I need to, so I will get on with it, and show you my card.

I did also ink the edges, so I did add a little extra to it lol. These cards are great when your in a jam and need a quick card:)

Our sponser for this week is :
They are giving away
1 stamp set of their choice to the lucky winner :)

How awesome is that!!  Everybody got their card makin mojo on? If you do then jump on over to
MEFY and enter your card for a chance to win this awesome prize!!

"Vacation"

Hello everyone, I am getting a little bit of a late start today :)

Our challenge is going on over at Red Carpet Studios today. This week is the Layout challenge  and we were to make a layout inspired from the:
"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" - All you have to do is  create a layout about travel/vacation. Since I have a gazillion  pictures of our trips to Disney World  (okay, maybe not a gazillion, but I bet I am pretty well darn close hehe) , I thought I would take this challenge and get some of them scrapbooked :)

While we were at Disney we took a boat over to the Boardwalk,  we had soo much fun over there just looking around and they have the best shops for your sweet tooth!! There is an ice cream shop over there that serves something called "the sink"  oh my goodness!!! There were 7 of us and it took all we had just to get that thing down lol. There are 7 different ice creams, every topping you can think of , about 2 cans of whip topping and cherries on top :D  If that is a little too much for you, then there is a bakery shop on the other side that serves something my daughter LOVED. She loves cheesecake and brownies...2 of her most favorite things :) While we were there we found a cheesecake brownie, a delicious brownie topped with creamy cheesecake .... yummmie!!!  Okay , I am getting hungry gotta stop the food talk lol.

Our sponser for this week is :
                                              Freckled Fawn - http://freckledfawn.com/
They are giving the lucky winner a $10 gift certificate to their store!!

So get your crafty mojo on and submit your  entries over at RCS to be entered to win this awesome prize:)

Have a great day!!

"HO HO HO"

Hello everyone! I  hope you are having a good Monday so far :)
Our challenge started today over at MEFY. This week the challenge was to make a shaped card.

I have to confess shaped cards are something that I RARELY do. I can't quite get them to look the way I want. But, I decided to go with a simple one and since Christmas is coming. I thought I would make it a Christmas theme. I was inspired by a pillow box that I saw on the Silhouette site.

This is what I came up with:

I got the mug from the gypsy wanderings and I made the belt buckle in my gypsy using a square and rectangle and then welded them together.  Then I threaded a piece of black cardstock throught the buckle:)
I cut the white part of santa's shirt with my shaped scissors and  used a stamp set from Getting Cricky.

Our sponser for this week is :
The winner will recieve 4 non-colored images of their choice.

Okay folks get your cardmaking supplies out and come on over and join us! hehe
We would love to see your entries, we only have a few more left before the end of the year and that will be the last challenge for MEFY :(  So let's go out with a bang and have tons of entries :D

Have a great day!!

The christmas beagle :)

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good day!!
I ended up having to work yesterday, so now I am trying to recoup from the work week lol :)

We have  a layout challenge going on over at Red Carpet Studios and  it is about
Famous movie pets - All you have to do is create a layout about a pet or other animal, super easy.
I have a few pets...more than I care to have, but thanks to my kids I ended up with extra ;) It's a good thing I have a big fenced in yard hehe.

So for this challenge needless to say I have plenty of inspiration! This picture is one that my daughter took last year right before Christmas.

Doesn't my little guy look precious ;)

I got this paper last week from Joann's and have been itching to use it. It is DCWV Arctic wishes stack and it is sooo pretty. I love all the blues and greys in it! When I saw this cute little beagle cut from Paper Piecings by Nikki. I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for and to make it even better this was one of her free files woo hoo ..score!!
I am still getting used to using my cameo, so when I can get free files to play around with, I think it is awesome :)
The font is also a freebie... I got it from da font.com. It is a great place to get fonts and they have a ton!!
I put a bow on some doggie bones (not really sure if you can see them in the corner) but I figured what better present for a dog on Christmas than some bones hehe.

Our sponser for this week's layout challenge is  Stamp-n-Doodle - http://www.stamp-n-doodle.com/
and they are giving away 2 digital stamps of the winner's choice

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your day with me!! I do love everyone's comments and I appreciate it soo much:)
Come on over and join in on all the fun!! We would love to see your layouts at RCS.

Have a great day my friends!

Thankful

Hi everyone :)   I have a card to share with you today.

It's challenge time over at Made Especially forYou, and it's a  sketch challenge!!  I love sketch challenges because it takes some of the guess work out of my cards :D

I usually take forever  when I am trying to put my cards and layouts together..... okay maybe forever is too strong a word hehe. It does take me quite a bit longer than all of those quick and easy cards that I see everyone doing.

So on to my semi quick and easy card....

I colored this cute little digi image  with my Spectrum Noir markers. I am still trying to get the hang of the coloring and shading  techniques down.
I added a Getting Cricky stamp for the sentiment and some buttons with twine. I wanted to add some burlap to it, but forgot to pick it up while I was out :(

Our sponser for this week is
Which happens to be the place that I got my super cute digi image :)
They are offering
7 images of the winner's choice

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Come on over to MEFY and join us for the fun and submit your fantastic creations :)
Have a great day!!

Fall Blessings

Hi, I'm so glad you stopped by today. I have a card to share with you :)

Our challenge this week at MEFY was to make a Thanksgiving card using kraft cardstock, and this is what I came up with.

I decided to make an easel card and use this cute Stamping Boutique image.  I used the kraft cardstock for my base and then used this pretty plaid pattern that was in my MS halloween stack that I got last year. I also used my spectrum noir markers to color this image in. It's my first attempt  using alcohol markers, so it's not really that great. Hopefully I will get better with practice hehe.  I printed out my image and then cut the border around it from my silhouette.

The sentiment is from the Getting Cricky Fall-O-Ween stamp set.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, and I used a Martha Stewart punch (cathedral lace..hope I spelled that right hehe) to keep the top portion of the card from sliding down.

Our fabulous sponser for this week is ..
  The Stamping Boutique - http://thestampingboutique.com/
and they are generously offering  3 images of the winner's choice

As you can tell by the image I used, she has some super cute digis in her shop :)
So get your crafty mojo going and come on over to Made Especially for You and enter your card into our challenge. I would love to see your entry. It always amazes me at how much talent there is out there!

Have a great and crafty day!!

"Independent" layout

Hello everyone and a good Sunday morning to you :)

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day, and that everyone on the East coast is getting the help that they need. My heart goes out to all those that have had to endure the path of Sandy.  I live in the Eastern part of the U.S. and feel very fortunate to live far enough away that we only had high winds and rain.

I have a layout to share with you today.

It is the layout teams turn this week at Red Carpet Studios, and our challenge was to make a CAS layout...Clean And Simple. Now, I'm not one to go over the top with embellishments, but I do like to add several things to my layouts or I feel like they are missing something :)

So I decided to go with a big picture...what better way to keep me from adding all those little extras, than to fill the page up with a picture hehe. This is a picture of my little boy when he was about 3 as you can tell by the side of the layout :D I tried to go very simple with this , so I only added 2 thing to this layout.  The 3's  border on the left side of the layout and the memories title on the bottom. (Both of these cutouts came from the Graphically speaking cartridge:)

I added a double border to them but it isn't showing up very well in this photo. If you have any tips on taking photos of 12x12 layouts, or anything else...I am an awful photographer... please share with me :)

Now on to the goodies ..... Our sponser this week is
The Paper Parade - http://www.thepaperparade.com/
and they are giving away a  $25 gift certificate
to the lucky winner this week
The only rules are  to Create a layout CAS (clean and simple) style, meaning not a lot of details, embellishments, etc.
What better way to get some of those pictures you have stashed away ( and you know you have them hehe especially if your like me :D) done quick and simple. You don't have to worry about what embellishments you are going to add or all of that other stuff . Just pick out a picture or two add a couple of embellishments or none at all and voila! your done.

I hope to see your entry over at RCS. I always look forward to seeing all the amazing talent that is out here in blogland :)

Have a great day my friends

"Hello"

Hello everyone and happy Monday. It's challenge time at Made Especially for You :)

This weeks challenge is to Create a card inspired by the provided color combo

I started looking around in my paper stash for papers matching the color combo and these are what I found :)

Then I decided to play around with my cameo and cut out this cute little floral doily. I also found some ribbon that had both the light and dark purple colors along with flowers on it , so I figured it would be perfect for this card. I also used my MS doily lace punch and inked around the circle with my TH distress ink.

The sponser for this week is  My Heart Pieces - http://myheartpiecesdigitalstamp.blogspot.in/
and they are giving to 1 lucky winner  3 images of their choice :)

Thanks for  stopping  by, I hope to see your creations over at MEFY :)

Have a great day!!

ABC Ranson Blog Hop

Welcome to the ABC Ransom Blog Hop,
hosted by Red Carpet Studio!

If you've come from Stephanie's blog, you're in the right place.

The Red Carpet Studio designers thought it would be fun to host a mystery blog hop while showcasing projects that can be made using all those leftover letters in your stash - hence where the "ransom" comes in. Ransom notes play a huge role in mystery/suspense films, and are often created out of random letters cut from magazines, newspapers, etc. in order to disguise handwriting.

While we won't be doing any kidnapping or holding anybody ransom today - we do have some creative projects to share with you!

For my project using leftover letters in my stash, I created... a halloween lantern
I got this cute little lantern from the Silhouette store and the letters are from a paper pad that I have had in my stash for years. The paper is long gone, but I have been holding on to the letters just in case they came in handy some day. And, today is the day LOL.
I also added some 3 girl jam ribbon in tuxedo black for the little bow and the handle on top:)

We're also holding some blog candy ransom! However, the blog candy is hidden, and only certain stops of the hop are hiding it. The only way you can win is if you comment on those blogs! Now, we're not going to tell you whose blogs those are (that would be too easy) but we will tell you what the prizes are!
$20 Gift Certificate

$10 Gift Certificate
$10 Gift Certificate

There will be three winners. Please make sure to leave your contact information when commenting so we can contact you if you win. You have until next Saturday, November 3rd, to hop and comment. Winners will be announced with the start of our next layout challenge on Sunday November 4th at Red Carpet Studio.

And don't forget to check out this week's challenge at Red Carpet Studio! Our challenge this week is inspired by "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and the challenge is to create any fall or Halloween card.

Your next stop is Candice's blog.

P.S. My letter is ... I

If you can put all the letters together from each stop of the hop (they're in order), you have a chance to win a mystery prize! Once you've figured out our hidden message, email it to redcarpetstudiochallenge@gmail.com. The mystery prize winner will be announced with the other winners on Sunday November 4th. HINT: The message is a clue as to what our next layout challenge will be. :)

Have a great day!!
