New Years Resolution

I usually never make New Years resolutions, because let's face it... I never stick to them lol.
But, this year I have decided and am determined that I am going to redo my craft room, paint organize and get it functional and pretty.

So with a color scheme in mind ....
sushi tones
I decided to start on some of my organizing.. I'm thinking of painting the walls the light grey..furniture is gonna be black and then I'm wanting to accessorize with the different pinks..
I found this little jewel at Hobby Lobby marked down on clearance for a couple bucks and wanted to use it to put all my pretty Pinque Peacock items.
I remembered to take a "before pic" well almost ...lol. I got it about 1/8 of the way in and remembered.

All finished ;) and the bottom pic is with the lid up so you can see
All the cute goodness stored inside!!

I found some paper I liked at Michaels and used it.
It's not perfect and I may change the ribbon I have around the inside edge.. but otherwise I am pretty pleased with it. I also added a little bit of Tim Holtz distress ink along the edges.
See all the beautiful Pinque  Peacock goodies :)   Layered Garden Beauties, Stick Pins, Buttons , Splendid Swirls and some beads from the Bead Buffet. Awesome Goodness!!

Thanks for stopping  by to look at my project and
Have a Great Day!!

Holiday tag

Hi everyone, Robin here to day with a holiday tag to share with you.  Can you believe it is just 18 days until Christmas!?  My goodness has this year flown by or what?

To try and get some of my stuff done early...which by the way is rare for me lol. I decided to make a gift tag to add to my presents, and use some of my pretty Peacock stuff to dress it up hehe.

Isn't that snowman layered flower just too cute! If you would like to get some of this cutie patootie goodness, then head on over to the peacock shop. Jessica will whip you up anything your hear desires. She will work with you on custom orders, which I think is awesome!!

I took my colored cardstock and cut out the tag from a file at the Silhouette store. Then I printed the sentiment tag (another file from the Sil store :)  and pop dotted it onto the larger one. To finish it off I added some cute twine and that beautiful crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam. As a finishing touch I added that sweet snowman flower and there you have it folks a tag ready to be added to a present.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day!

RCS challenge # 58 "The Nutcracker"

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a happy Sunday :)

I am preparing my Thanksgiving meal for my family. I have to work all day on Thanksgiving so I decided that we could all get together today. This way we can have our meal and enjoy everyone's company and being together. Which is what Thanksgiving is all about to me. Being thankful for all the wonderful family and friends in my life that make me smile and laugh :)

For our challenge at RCS today the wonderful Connie is hosting and she has picked "The Nutcracker" as our inspirational movie. To enter the challenge just create a project with ribbons and lace.

I am awful about last minute things and with Christmas approaching. I decided to make up some cards  that I can add a gift card to. I have quite a few people that I give them to, and if I can at least get that much done. Then I will be ahead of the game LOL.  So, this is one that I came up with...

I got the beautiful lace from Scrapadabadoo.com they are wonderful to order from. I also added some 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon from 3girljam.com the flower and beautiful angel stick pin is from Pinque Peacock. The paper and stamp are from Michaels :)

Our sponsor for this challenge is

They are going to give the lucky winner 3 digis of their choice :)

Red Carpet Studio Challenge #57

Hi everyone!  For our challenge over at Red Carpet Studio, Melina has picked "Charlie Brown Thanksgiving"  as our inspiration and all you have to do is show food on your project :)

I decided to do a home décor piece that was really simple....and when I say simple I literally mean probably about 15 minutes to make hehe. Depending on how long your printer takes to print something out :)

I got this subway art file at the Silhouette store.

I had an 8x11 shadow box and sized my file to fit that cutting off a little extra to make sure it fit. Then I added some beautiful 1 1/2" Striped Grossgrain Ribbon in the orange and cream color from Sweet and Sparkly Ribbon . Gotta say I really love this ribbon, I also bought the other 2 colors in that style and they are beautiful!!  and my all time favorite fabric covered buttons from the Pinque Peacock Store :)

Voila Done!! I have to say that it was record time for me too LOL ... I am such a procrastinator that it takes me forever to make something. I always go back and forth on how I want to do something, what I want to add ect. But, this somehow just came together fairly quickly.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

They are offering a stamp set to the lucky winner of our challenge.  So get your crafty supplies out and show us what you've got :)

You could win an awesome stamp set for yourself!

Have a great day

"To Do List"

It's my turn to post my DT card for Pinque Peacock and I have a card for you that takes me down memory lane :)

Today starts my vacation and I am super excited!! It is that time of year when the weather is cooler and the leaves are falling from the trees.  I remember when I was little I used to love raking up the leaves and then jumping in them. Boy, what kids will do to keep themselves entertained LOL.

I have a card that I made with some wonderful Pinque Peacock products that brings back those special memories of my childhood.

I took a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with a few distress inks.. scattered straw, aged mahogany and wild honey. Then I put my cardstock through my embosser using the "Fall Leaf" embossing folder  and coordinating fabric covered button from the Pinque Peacock shop. I also added some awesome 3GJ  sunflower crinkle ribbon from the harvest bundle to finish off the card. The to do list and flourish came from the Silhouette store.

I tried taking a close up to show you the awesome embossing folder, but not quite sure it is showing up too well... lol.

Isn't this embossing folder pretty?? I love the swirls on it :)

Thanks for joining me here at Pinque Peacock. Have a great day!!!!!

Red Carpet Studio Challenge #56

It is my turn to host the challenge at Red Carpet Studio and I picked a Halloween themed challenge , since it is almost time for our little trick or treaters to go out and about getting all that yummy candy :) I picked the movie "Hocus Pocus" and all you have to do is make something with a Halloween theme to it !

I thought this would be an easy challenge for everyone to participate in. That way you can get that last minute home décor item, layout for the pics of the  kiddos all dressed up in their costumes  or even a card to give to someone,  out of the way and be ready for the festivities!!

All of my babies are grown and the area that I live in is mostly out of the way...soo I don't really get a lot of trick or treaters here :(  I have a few friends at work that have little ones so I decided to make their children and some of my younger nieces and nephews a treat container with some goodies to go along with it.

I got that cute little container last year at Wal-Mart for about 10 cents, so needless to say I snatched up quite a few of them lol.  It already had the pumpkin face on it and so I just added the name, spider webs and Happy Halloween around the sides of the container.

I also made up some lollipop holders and some treat bags to put inside of it. I made some little Halloween themed cutouts to go on the bottom of  Hershey kisses and am going to put them in also.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons

They are going to give one lucky winner a $15 GC to their store :) Whoop Whoop!!
So head on over to RCS and get your entry in! You may just be the lucky winner that gets to go shopping :)

Thanks for stopping by

I found this template at skip to my lou blog and cut it out with my silhouette

I added some Halloween trendy twine and a cute little tag, some faux stitching with my signo gel pen and made some score lines in the wings to finish it off :)  Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my project!

Trick or treat 2013

It's  time for another challenge at Red Carpet Studio. This week the wonderfully talented Tonya is hosting our challenge :)

Her movie inspiration is  "Bicentennial Man"  and all you have to do to enter this challenge is  use metal on your project

I decided to get a jump start and make a Halloween layout. Even though my kids are to big to go trick or treating they still like to dress up and go to the Halloween parties and usually end up taking out our little nieces and nephews out :)

I cut out the bat small flourish square and cat with my silhouette. Then I added a little faux stitching and dots around the edges and added my sentiment.

I found these cute little epoxy brads at Wal-Mart and used my cheveron embossing folder that I got from the Pinque Peacock discount hut  on the bat and cat :)

Our sponsor for this challenge is LoveBug Creations, $15 gift certificate

Winners will be announced October 29th. So you've got plenty of time to get your project submitted :D
