RCS challenge # 58 "The Nutcracker"

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a happy Sunday :)

I am preparing my Thanksgiving meal for my family. I have to work all day on Thanksgiving so I decided that we could all get together today. This way we can have our meal and enjoy everyone's company and being together. Which is what Thanksgiving is all about to me. Being thankful for all the wonderful family and friends in my life that make me smile and laugh :)

For our challenge at RCS today the wonderful Connie is hosting and she has picked "The Nutcracker" as our inspirational movie. To enter the challenge just create a project with ribbons and lace.

I am awful about last minute things and with Christmas approaching. I decided to make up some cards  that I can add a gift card to. I have quite a few people that I give them to, and if I can at least get that much done. Then I will be ahead of the game LOL.  So, this is one that I came up with...

I got the beautiful lace from Scrapadabadoo.com they are wonderful to order from. I also added some 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon from 3girljam.com the flower and beautiful angel stick pin is from Pinque Peacock. The paper and stamp are from Michaels :)

Red Carpet Studio Challenge #57

Hi everyone!  For our challenge over at Red Carpet Studio, Melina has picked "Charlie Brown Thanksgiving"  as our inspiration and all you have to do is show food on your project :)

I decided to do a home décor piece that was really simple....and when I say simple I literally mean probably about 15 minutes to make hehe. Depending on how long your printer takes to print something out :)

I got this subway art file at the Silhouette store.

I had an 8x11 shadow box and sized my file to fit that cutting off a little extra to make sure it fit. Then I added some beautiful 1 1/2" Striped Grossgrain Ribbon in the orange and cream color from Sweet and Sparkly Ribbon . Gotta say I really love this ribbon, I also bought the other 2 colors in that style and they are beautiful!!  and my all time favorite fabric covered buttons from the Pinque Peacock Store :)

Voila Done!! I have to say that it was record time for me too LOL ... I am such a procrastinator that it takes me forever to make something. I always go back and forth on how I want to do something, what I want to add ect. But, this somehow just came together fairly quickly.

"To Do List"

It's my turn to post my DT card for Pinque Peacock and I have a card for you that takes me down memory lane :)

Today starts my vacation and I am super excited!! It is that time of year when the weather is cooler and the leaves are falling from the trees.  I remember when I was little I used to love raking up the leaves and then jumping in them. Boy, what kids will do to keep themselves entertained LOL.

I have a card that I made with some wonderful Pinque Peacock products that brings back those special memories of my childhood.

I took a piece of white cardstock and inked it up with a few distress inks.. scattered straw, aged mahogany and wild honey. Then I put my cardstock through my embosser using the "Fall Leaf" embossing folder  and coordinating fabric covered button from the Pinque Peacock shop. I also added some awesome 3GJ  sunflower crinkle ribbon from the harvest bundle to finish off the card. The to do list and flourish came from the Silhouette store.

I tried taking a close up to show you the awesome embossing folder, but not quite sure it is showing up too well... lol.

Isn't this embossing folder pretty?? I love the swirls on it :)

Thanks for joining me here at Pinque Peacock. Have a great day!!!!!
