Red Carpet Studio Challenge #56

It is my turn to host the challenge at Red Carpet Studio and I picked a Halloween themed challenge , since it is almost time for our little trick or treaters to go out and about getting all that yummy candy :) I picked the movie "Hocus Pocus" and all you have to do is make something with a Halloween theme to it !

I thought this would be an easy challenge for everyone to participate in. That way you can get that last minute home décor item, layout for the pics of the  kiddos all dressed up in their costumes  or even a card to give to someone,  out of the way and be ready for the festivities!!

All of my babies are grown and the area that I live in is mostly out of the way...soo I don't really get a lot of trick or treaters here :(  I have a few friends at work that have little ones so I decided to make their children and some of my younger nieces and nephews a treat container with some goodies to go along with it.

I got that cute little container last year at Wal-Mart for about 10 cents, so needless to say I snatched up quite a few of them lol.  It already had the pumpkin face on it and so I just added the name, spider webs and Happy Halloween around the sides of the container.

I also made up some lollipop holders and some treat bags to put inside of it. I made some little Halloween themed cutouts to go on the bottom of  Hershey kisses and am going to put them in also.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons

They are going to give one lucky winner a $15 GC to their store :) Whoop Whoop!!
So head on over to RCS and get your entry in! You may just be the lucky winner that gets to go shopping :)

Thanks for stopping by

I found this template at skip to my lou blog and cut it out with my silhouette

I added some Halloween trendy twine and a cute little tag, some faux stitching with my signo gel pen and made some score lines in the wings to finish it off :)  Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed my project!

Have a great day!!

Trick or treat 2013

It's  time for another challenge at Red Carpet Studio. This week the wonderfully talented Tonya is hosting our challenge :)

Her movie inspiration is  "Bicentennial Man"  and all you have to do to enter this challenge is  use metal on your project

I decided to get a jump start and make a Halloween layout. Even though my kids are to big to go trick or treating they still like to dress up and go to the Halloween parties and usually end up taking out our little nieces and nephews out :)

I cut out the bat small flourish square and cat with my silhouette. Then I added a little faux stitching and dots around the edges and added my sentiment.

I found these cute little epoxy brads at Wal-Mart and used my cheveron embossing folder that I got from the Pinque Peacock discount hut  on the bat and cat :)

Our sponsor for this challenge is LoveBug Creations, $15 gift certificate

Winners will be announced October 29th. So you've got plenty of time to get your project submitted :D

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

For the baby!

Hello everyone! So glad you joined me today :)

My cousin had her baby a few months ago and I did not get to go to the baby shower since she lives so far away from me.  Being the procrastinator that I am lol...I am just now getting around to making something to give her.

I know, I know .. I really need to start getting on the ball with things. But, in my defense one of the items that I made for her . I wouldn't have been able to make until the baby was born anyway :)  I made her a subway tile with his name and all of the stats on it. It was super cute and.....being me.... I forgot to take a picture of it!!  I really need a good swift kick in the pants!

I do have a picture of the other item that I made though and am going to share it with you today. I made a floating ornament and used one of the fabric covered buttons that you can get over at Pinque Peacock.

This was my first time trying to make a floating ornament.  I think it turned out pretty well :)
I especially love that oh so cute baby button!!

I put his name on one side and "Baby's 1st Christmas 2013" on the other.
and aren't those little baby feet adorable hehe.

I will leave you with one last  close up of that cutie patootie  fabric covered button that you can get for yourself over at :Pinque Peacock :D

Have a great day my friends!!
