Live Strong

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a spectacular Sunday :)  I am recovering from being sick all week and so glad to be on the mend lol .

Over at Red Carpet Studio it is DT member Stephanie's turn to pick a theme for this weeks challenge. Her challenge is to create a project and use pink on it and the movie it is inspired by is :
"Pretty in Pink" :)

I decided to go with a card  and to support cancer awareness this is what I came up with :)
I took a cut file that I had and printed it out onto cardstock then layered it on several different pink designer papers and then I added some ribbon and a cute little burlap covered button from Pinque Peacock called Farm Fresh :)

Our sponsor for this challenge is  Downtown Tape  who generously donated  a $20 gift certificate to one of the lucky participants in this challenge :)

Have a great day my friends!!

Baby Mini

Hi all! It is challenge day at Red Carpet Studio

The challenge is inspired by  "Kindergarten Cop"  All you have to do is use letters and numbers on your project :)

I have a friend at work that recently had a baby and thought I would make her a mini album.

This is a picture of the tags that are in between the pages. I made one for each month of the first year :) There is a space for a 4x6 picture and some journaling at the bottom...

This is the front page of the mini. the page flips out to reveal the inside pages ...

A few tags inside one of the pockets :)

More pages and tags in between the pages...

This is a picture of the front of the book. I decided to give it a quilt look. So I cut up pieces of the papers sewed them together and punched a border for the paper on the spine of the mini..

Okay that's it for me. Now let me tell you about our wonderful sponsor we have this week.

For my project today I am going to share with you a cake carrier that I added a little something to :)

Since I have gotten my Silhouette, I have made cards, layouts and 3D projects with paper. I also am starting to use vinyl for a multitude of things. I have seen many beautiful things that people have created or just made prettier by personalizing it and adding vinyl.  So, I decided to take a plain jane cake carrier and add some personalization and color to it. This is what I came up with.

I took the letters and sized them to  fit inside the circle, then I moved them closer together and overlapped them and then welded them together.

I also took the colors that I used and put various sizes of dots around the container.....now doesn't that look a whole lot better than being plain?? LOL  I really like it and am thinking that when I have to go to wedding showers this will be one of my gifts :D

Okay folks, that is it for me ... Have a great day!!

Cute as a peacock!

Hi everyone, I am glad you stopped by :)  I made a card to share with  you today using the beautiful Pinque Peacock stick pin and the  mini pleated petals in goblin green.

I thought this would make a cute little baby card. I decided to leave it blank that way when I have to go to a baby shower, I can just personalize it with the baby's name.

I also used my Martha Stewart punch for the bottom scalloped trim and some oh so cute ribbon that I found on a destash site on facebook.

If you would like to get some of these beautiful pins or pleated petals just head on over to the Pinque Peacock page and start shopping lol :)

Have a great day!

RCS "Anything goes"

Hi everyone! I am super late with this...really not sure where my mind went this weekend, but I think it's back.  For now anyway lol ;)

It is challenge time over at Red Carpet Studio Challenge blog and the theme is a favorite for everyone...Anything goes!!

Since we had our blog hop this weekend and I made some cute little popcorn cupcakes , I thought I would keep with that theme and make a popcorn cart to go along with them. Great for a movie themed party or just to have a movie night with the hubby and kids :)

I found this cute little popcorn cart in the silhouette store and it was really super easy to make.

I also made a card to go with the whole movie theme using my silhouette and some of the great digis from our wonderful sponsors  for our hop this past weekend.

Our sponsor for this weekend is The Robins Nest and they are giving away a fantastic Halloween paper pack :)

You still have time to submit your projects, so hop on over and enter to win this awesome prize pack.
Thanks for stopping by
