Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday morning. This is a layout of my youngest daughters 1st birthday. Isn't she the cutest little darling. lol. This is one of the pages that I am including in my mom's album for her birthday. She is holding my dd and they both look so happy:). It is one of my favorite pics of them together.
I used one of my new cuttlebug folders on this swiss dots and I sort of messed up not aligning the folder up to make one continuous emossed image and ended up with a strip in between the dots, since my paper was longer than the folder. To fix the problem, I just addes some ribbon, flowers and bling. TA DA...problem solved hehe. I also addes some bling to the Smile and used shiny paper for it , just to give it a little extra something. I am going to add a journaling tag a little later, before I give it to her.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you like it as much as I do.

Another 8x8 layout

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday:) It is dreary here, but it isn't cold...so I am not going to complain. I am soooo over the cold weather.
For today I have another 8x8 layout to share. I am making my mom an album filled with pictures of her and all of the grandkids as part of her birthday present. Which means I will be sharing quite a few 8x8 layouts with you this week and next week.
My niece is the little baby and the 5 year old "hamming it up" for the camera is my oldest daughter.
I had some paper from  Nana's nursery stack that had the saying "onesies and blankets and diapers, oh my" and I thought it would be fitting on this page with mom changing Lauren's diaper. The whole page had that on it , but I thought that just the scallop on the top would look good. So I cut it out with the curve of the clothes line.
The base paper had some flowers with leaves and stems scrolled around on it. I used some silk flowers in place of the printed ones and used glossy accents to outline the stems. Not really sure if you can see that well or not. It is my first time using the glossy accents.

"Double take"

Hello all my bloggy friends, For today's post I have an 8x8 layout to share with you. This is my first time doing one. I usually use the 12x12 , but thought I would give this a go. If you think you have seen this before on here you are right (well sort of lol) When I made my card with the adorable little squirrel from create a critter...I made one too small and decided I wanted it a little bigger. I kept this one. No reason throwing away a perfectly good cut because it was too small. :P
This is my mom changing my neice's diaper and my oldest daughter getting in on the pic. I covered my niece's little bottom, didn't want her mooning everyone hehe.

Welcome to the final day of the blog hop. I'm sorry to see it end, I've had so much fun doing different projects to show you! ;)  I've decided to make another video to show you my project today, so that you could see all of the details that are on these adorable eggs.

(Sorry in advance for the """shaky""" video..I've pretty much decided I won't be getting a job as a camera operator at any of Hollywood's studios lol.)

Mom always put some rick-rack around the edges of the eggs...but I like the raw edges of them. I think it gives them character. I always keep a stash of things especially crafty stuff(and my husband calls me a pack-rat....guess I showed him hehe..I used quite a few things that I had on hand)
There are a few rules for this hop, in support of each crafter and the time they have put into their work, and to be eligible for the Grand Prize Blog Candy from our wonderful hostess, you MUST visit each blog and leave a comment.
Your Easter basket wouldn't be complete without some Candy! (blog candy that is, that's the best kind anyway isn't it??)  What I have for 1 lucky follower is actually 2 things...just keeps getting better doesn't it ? HEHE.  I have a Cricut Basketball Cart and the kit for the mini album that I showed you yesterday.
Now what you have to do is:
 1. Be or become a follower and
 2. Leave a comment (with a way to get ahold of you when you win)
that's it EASY PEASY.
EDIT: I was so excited that I learned how to be able to post at a future time(which means no staying up till 3 a.m. to make it a post for midnight on the west coast) ... that I forgot to post the next stop( So sorry Christine!) I just now noticed it :(
Without further ado please go and visit Christine at Crabby Cakes Studios and see what awesome project she has in store for you today!
Thanks so much for visiting with me and all your wonderful comments.

What inspires you?

Hello again everyone. For my second post today I was surfing around and found an awesome blog site with a challeng that I just couldn't pass up! The website is Getting Cricky with K. Andrew. For her Simply Sunday challenge we are to make something that Inspires us.
I recently got a new toy (just love the craft store toys..don't you! LOL). Since I do alot of scrapbooking I didn't own a scoreboard. While on a trip to Hobby Lobby, I decided to by the M.S.scoreboard. I have been trying to make cards off and on since I started my blog in October last year. I have been using whatever I had on hand to make the creases and flatten them down (I'm sure you know how that goes hehe..us crafters get inventive).
Now on to my card for today:
EDIT: I am also entering this over at craftingmisfit...... it is "a new season a new skill blog hop"
you can enter your creation and tell about something new to you. So my new is the M.S. scoreboard.
Which I love, it has a home for all the pieces (considering I am not the most organized person lol). That helps me out ALOT. It even gives instruction on how to create different cards and a box. How great is that!
I also got it for 40% off so it really is a good deal. I think it ended up being about 12 bucks!

The paper stack is  DCWV Luxury Stack
and Colorbok Pearlecent
Ribbon is a satin ribbon from Hobby Lobby
The border and corner punch is a MS Rings set
(also a new toy, hubby helped me get it with a 40% off coupon!! Isn't he the sweetest:)
and last but not least the stamp is one that I got from a whole bag of stamps that my sister(another sweetie)  bought me from E-Bay
Thanks so much for stopping by

"It's Easter" Blog Hop (Day 2)

Hello everyone and welcome back to our "It's Easter Blog Hop". When I think of Easter, many different things come to mind. Sunrise service at church, the family getting together for a nice dinner, the kids hunting for Easter eggs, and the candy filled Easter baskets.
This next project reflects on the first thing. My faith. I saw a tutuorial on something similar to this, but Halloween oriented on customcrops. I thought it was cute and decided to do an Easter project with it.

You could use this just as decor, or put things in it. I planned on putting a vase in it and putting some of my daffodils in it, but the awful storms that we have had blew off all of the pretty flowers.
There are a few rules for this hop, in support of each crafter and the time they have put into their work, to be eligible for the Grand Prize Blog Candy from Shawnee, you MUST visit each blog and leave a comment.  If you have come to visit my blog, or just happened to be passing by and want to start at the beginning, just
