Got scraps??

Hello everyone. I have a card for you today. I made this one out of mostly my scraps.
There was a challenge going on  to use your scraps and get them out of the way for new stuff (we all know that's coming lol), but for the life of me I cannot remember where I saw that at?!
Well, I found this scrap piece of cream paper in my scrap bin, I used it to cut out an image(if you know what it is PLEASE tell me, I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what I cut with it hehe). It sort of looked like a butterfly to me with the wings and all??
I had initially grabbed it out because I got a couple distress inks (walnut stain, and wild honey) and wanted to play around with how to use them. I got the wrong pads, (according to Emma on My Creative time) she just did a video using them and she got the same ones that I got then figured out your supposed to get the spongy ones. Glad I'm not the only one grabbing the wrong things lol.  Anyway.....I decided to try out the pads that I had just to see what it would look like.  This is what I came up with, I thought the fibers of the pad gave it a unique look.

Not sure about this one. I thought the shadow of the image would look good darkened up with the brown. I had to layer it a few times just so it would fit on my A2 size card, since it was just a scrap piece of paper to begin with. I also used the Scripture sayings from Getting Cricky. I didn't think the distress inking turned out too badly for my first time. What do you think??

I took the Plunge!!

Good morning to all my crafty friends. What did you get for the big Black Friday event??
Well..... I took the plunge and got the imagine!! It is still in the box and I haven't opened it up yet lol.
I am still deciding wether I want to keep it or not.
I have been looking at all the youtube videos with the Imagine and it is looking pretty promising to me. I still want to check it out further before I decide to keep it or not. ( I just couldn't pass up the $187.00 price tag on this machine :) and they only had one left when I got off work, so I just HAD to grab it hehe.

If anyone has any comments on the Imagine that may sway my decision wether to keep it or not. Please let me know.

Pop up Stage Card

Hello everyone, I know it has been a few days since my last post. Been super busy with work and everything else. :(
I saw this card a few weeks ago and I have been wanting to make one because they look soo cool!
It is a pop up stage card and I saw the tutorial for it over at Splitcoast Stampers, I love that site they are sooo talented!!
This is the card closed. I made a little wrapper to go around it to keep it closed . I made it loose so that it would be easy to take off and put back on. Then I stamped the sentiment on it.
This is the card opened. I used the Pooh and Friends cartridge. If you need any of the sizes just let me know and I will post it.
I also use the Pks Happy Lashes Face Assortment  stamp set for the sun and I used stickles on the balloons and ribbon on the gift boxes. The gift boxes were fairly small and I was afraid the ribbons would not cut well, so I just used the cricut markers to draw it out first then cut out the outside of the gifts with my cricut.
I am entering this into Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.

Cricut Imagine bundle...

Hello everyone. I thought I would share some news with all of you. You may have already seen it, but just in case you haven't... on the Friday after Thanksgiving Wal-Mart is having the Cricut  Imagine bundle in their ad. It is going to be priced at 189.00 and it comes with 2 cartridges. It sounds like a pretty good deal.
I have been going back and forth on the Imagine. I don't know if it is something I really want or not?
I like that you can create your own paper, but not really sure about the pros and cons on this one.How much ink you go through? How much the ink for them cost? If  you have any comments on the Imagine, please let me know. I would appreciate any information on it.

Warm Wishes

Hi all! Hope you are having a very happy Sunday. For today I want to share with you a shaped card I made using Doodlecharms Cartridge.
I put glossy accents on the steam coming up from the mug of cocoa, although I don't think you can see it too well.  (I'm not a coffee fan so I am calling it cocoa hehe).

I got the scarf from paper doll dress up and the cutie patootie face is from Peachy Keen Stamps.
The sentiment is from Getting Cricky  Winter Wishes Set. The mug is from gypsy wanderings.
I think it turned out super adorable. I am entering this into a couple of challenges today:
1.Simply Sundays- projects with a hot beverage
2. Card makin mamas- "Cut it out"

Thanks so much for stopping by, and if your feeling up to a challenge hop on over to these awesome blogs and enter your project.
