Hello everyone. I have a card for you today. I made this one out of mostly my scraps.
There was a challenge going on to use your scraps and get them out of the way for new stuff (we all know that's coming lol), but for the life of me I cannot remember where I saw that at?!
Well, I found this scrap piece of cream paper in my scrap bin, I used it to cut out an image(if you know what it is PLEASE tell me, I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what I cut with it hehe). It sort of looked like a butterfly to me with the wings and all??
I had initially grabbed it out because I got a couple distress inks (walnut stain, and wild honey) and wanted to play around with how to use them. I got the wrong pads, (according to Emma on My Creative time) she just did a video using them and she got the same ones that I got then figured out your supposed to get the spongy ones. Glad I'm not the only one grabbing the wrong things lol. Anyway.....I decided to try out the pads that I had just to see what it would look like. This is what I came up with, I thought the fibers of the pad gave it a unique look.

Not sure about this one. I thought the shadow of the image would look good darkened up with the brown. I had to layer it a few times just so it would fit on my A2 size card, since it was just a scrap piece of paper to begin with. I also used the Scripture sayings from Getting Cricky. I didn't think the distress inking turned out too badly for my first time. What do you think??
I am entering this into :
Thanks for stopping by

This is nice Robin! Yes, I think your distress inking came out super! I love, also, how our "mistakes" make our project unique and come out better than what we hoped!! Thanks so much for linking up at Cooking With Cricut.
PS. I think it is a butterfly....maybe storybook?

Robin, I think your entire card is gorgeous. That distressing ain't too shabby girlfriend! It really is stunning and lovely. Hope you get "un-tired" and back to crafting soon. I would miss you horribly if you stayed gone too long... :O)
