Valentine's fortune cookies..

Hello to all my wonderful bloggy friends out there. First of all, I just wanted to thank you all for hanging in there with me. I had planned on making projects each week and being more up to date on my blog to share with each of you. When I participated in the blog hop in January, I gained new followers and had wonderful comments from my .."always there for me  blogging friends", because of this I wanted to be more active on my blog.
But, as life always does.. it threw me a curve, and a rather large one at that.  My mom had found a lump in  her breast and on the day that we were to go find out the results my father (who is almost 80)  lost his balance and fell down a flight of stairs. Fracturing 3 bones in his neck, his collarbone and his thumb. Soo, after he was admitted to the hospital we  were off to the doctor to find out the results of the biopsy ( had to be good news..right... after all that we had happen already. Wrong! ) She had breast cancer..needless to say we were all devestated. I have been dealing with doctor appointments, surgery and my dad having to be admitted to the nursing home, because he was not able to walk and they won't let him come home until he can do a few things for himself :(
Now that I have talked your ear off, I will show you the project that I made. I have had this idea in my head since January, just not had the time to do it. So, I made myself sit down and do it! Needed a break anyway :)   This is my first attempt at making a take-out box and the fortune cookies. I don't have a cut for the box, just traced a takeout box that I had onto some cardstock for a template and used that lol. The cookie how to's I got from Amy at Love to Crop. She is amazing at what she does.
The oh so cute fortunes are from Catarina a.k.a  Docerela Creations . Aren't they just the cutest stamps :)

Okay, that is it for me today. Thank you so much for stopping by, and lending a kind ear.
Hope you liked my project,  and that you and your loved one has a very special Valentines Day.
I am entering this into a couple challenges:
1- Docerela Challenge #7 ..Valentine's

3- Card Makin Mamas..Valentine

Robin, I am so sorry to hear about all the bad news you have had to deal with. Please know that I will keep you, your mom, and your dad, ALL in my prayers! Keep your chin up sweetie. Your take out box and cookies are fantastic. No need to apologize for not being around. I didn't get around to my commitments for the week and am falling behind myself. Life is what it is and it has to come first, always. You take care of yourself and your parents. I will always BE HERE when you get back in the groove!
Love,
Jessica
