"Reindeer" in training :)

Good morning everyone. This is the card that I am entering in Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ .  This weeks challenge is to create something with a Christmas theme, using Celebrations (or if you don't have that an older cartridge.)  Celebrations is more of a birthday cartridge so I had to put my thinking cap on :) . I decided to cut out the dog with the party hat on. I was going to make the hat  a santa hat, but then I thought about the cute little dog on How The Grinch Stole Christmas... so I decided to make him a "Reindeer" in training hehe. For this card I made the border using the 0 on page 91, I put several down flipped them and welded them to a 5 3/4" square on my gypsy. The dog is from page 112 . I cut the hat off so that I could add the "antlers", which is the hat topper from page 104. I used PK490- Everyday face assortment from Peachy Keen stamps. I did'nt have the Everyday Character Face Parts (which I have got to get! Love Love Love their stamps..) so I modified the Stamp that I had adding a little to the nose and mouth.  I used my White gelly roll pen to stich around the edges for the finishing touch. I hope you like it, and really appreciate all your comments. Thanks for stopping by.

Boo!!

Hi everyone, since it is almost Halloween. I thought I would share a scrapbook page that I made when I first started scrapbooking a few years ago.... (this is pre-cricut :-0 ) I used felt stickers and stencils that I got out of the crafts department at Wal-Mart and of course my shape scissors that I had to use for my picture border . Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I really appreciate it.

Nursery Rhymes...

Hello everyone. I hope you all are having a great weekend. My computer is having some issues, and while it is working I thought I would try to put up a quick post for you. A friend of mine asked me to make a baby book for his daughter-in-law, who was having a baby girl... so this a 2 page LO I made for the baby book. The paper is DCWV Nana's nursery baby girl stack.. and the cute little cutouts are from the Nursery Rhyme cartridge and the  EDPD cart. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Challenge!!!

It's Throwback Thursday again, (well actually it's friday.. but you know what I mean haha). Emma has another great challenge going on over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. The challenge is a sports theme using an older cricut cartridge. I am using Sports Mania, it is a great cartridge for all you sport enthusiasts.. it has alot of different sport themes that you can use:)  This is a 2 page LO, that I made of my daughter when she was in volleyball. I used the I dig volleyball from the cart on one page and the background feature for the  other page, I tweaked it a little. I wanted the blue to show through a little more so I used my craft knife to make the cuts a little wider. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

My...How time flies:(

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a happy Tuesday. I'm working on some challenges that are going on right now hopefully will be able to post them soon. In the meantime I thought I would share with you a 2 page layout that I made of one of my daughters. This was taken when she was 4... she is 17 now. It actually took me about 3 days to finish this because I would start to tear up everytime I started on it, remembering when she was little and wishing that my baby hadn't grown up soooo fast. Sorry about the pictures I just couldn't get the light right on them and kept getting a glare. Thanks for stopping by.

Playing catch-up :)

I've been following some of my favorite blogs this week, and since I had to work all week wasn't really able to catch up to doing some of the challenges and other things till now. Joy over at joyslife.com was having a random act of kindness blog hop wich I thought was GREAT. I was trying to think of something that I could do to participate in that and while I was at Robyn's blog mypinkstamper she was doing a challenge to do something with your kids or for a kid....so I had an epiphany! My random act of kindness was to make some cards and send them to our local children's hospital..(thank you Robyn) so here are a few of the cards that I am sending. I hope that they will put a smile on thier faces:)
