Word Verification ???

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a good day today.
I  have been seeing alot of things lately about the word verification. I personally don't like it because it is just an added thing to do when you want to comment on someone's post and the words aren't always clear to begin with which means you have to re-do it over again.

Well, I was reading the how to's on how to turn it off on Ashley's  blog and thought???? maybe I should check just to make sure mine isn't on. Well........... turns out it WAS. I am so sorry to all of you who have had to endure extra effort just so you could leave me a sweet comment.  I am not at all blog savvy or to say the least tech savvy hehe. But, I now have it fixed so that it will not be bugging anyone again lol.
Boy, I should just run around with a big DUH on my head haha.
Okay, enough rambling.. I will let you get back to your blog surfing, and I am going to get back to mine :D

A tribute to my Mother :)

Good evening to all of  you , who have come by for a visit. As some of you may have noticed, I have been changing the look of my blog quite a bit lately. Since October I have been changing the colors of it to go with the holiday, just to have a little fun with it.
I had shared with you a few posts ago, that my mother was diagnosed with cancer in January. She has begun her battle with the awful disease and this new look for my blog  is my tribute to her as she has to go through the necessary treatments to beat it.  I wanted also to take the time to thank each and every one of you that left a comment and have said a prayer for her through this rough time.
You all are so special to me and true friends.

Give Thanks..

Hello to all my wonderful crafty friends. I am off today. Thank goodness:)   I decided to create a card since I got a wonderful package in the mail from Jessica.  I won a prize from her and couldn't wait to play with the stamps. (Thank you JESSICA!!!)
Don't they look awesome!! They are some Unity stamps, I had a ball using them :D
I decided to use the butterfly stamp and make it kinda like a border.. I stamped it twice across a white piece of paper, then cut it down to fit my card.
I love the look of it kinda like a grunge or distressed look. Awesome!!
Then I cut a butterfly out of the Wall Decor and More Cricut Cart, the little loops are from the MS punch "Rings" and the doodling is from my white gel pen and a purple gel pen I got in a pack from Hobbly Lobby.
The saying is from K Andrew stamps called "Scripture Sayings"
Really love that stamp set :) I used the inkadinkado white linen embossing powder on it then put it in my cuttlebug with the swirls folder (think that is the name of it hehe)
and here is another close up of the butterfly stamp.....
Okay think that is all of the info lol. I am entering this into a few challenges..
Thanks so much for stopping by

A Blend Award!!

Hello to all my wonderful blogging friends out there! I just recieved an award from my awesome "Blend" Jessica over at Jessica's Craft Shaque ...
Isn't it beautiful!! It was created by Jessica and Beckie....you can check out their awesome blogs, by clicking on their names:)
This is a little bit of Beckie's reason for the award, please hop on over there to check out the full explanation :D

So to honor those whom I have befriended, I have created an award. My stupendous friend, Jessica, of Jessica’s Craft Shaque coined the term “Blend”. She says this is a friend and a co-blogger. I just love that word.

I contacted Mrs Jessica and politely asked her to be co-creator of the award and for copyrights to use the term “Blend”. She graciously accepted to both requests.

The “Green” portion represents how we should be kind to one another and help one another…such as being “Green” and helping our environment. Reissue the kindness that someone once gave to you as an infant blogger. Recycle the ideas you have learned or invented to pass along to up and coming crafters. Reduce the frustrations of wanting to a be blogger with magnitude.

Here are the terms under which this “Green Blend Award” are to be given.
1. This award is for any co-blogging friend who has helped you develop your blog in any and all ways.

2. This award is for any co-blogging friend who has cheered you along in your blog building, craft advancing career.

3. This award is for any co-blogging friend who always stops by and is kind to you. You can count on them to always be one of the great comments at the end of your post.

4. This award is to be given to 3 to 5 Blends whom you feel meet the listed requirements.

5. Create a post with the terms of use and publish your Blends of choice.

6. Blend of choice may copy the award from your blog and proudly post it on theirs.

7. Blend of choice may continue the kindness by issuing this award to keep the circle forever growing
......in no particular order hehe.. this is my list of fab "blends"
I also wanted to make an honorable mention to  Carrie at http://doubleclickconnections.blogspot.com/   ( since you were already awarded this, but I still wanted to thank you) and of course the fabulous Jessica and Beckie who created this wonderful award!!
and, I  wanted to take a minute to say..I look forward each time I post to see a comment from my blends, and I also look forward to seeing all of the new and wonderful creations that my blends come up with and wanted to  let you all know how much I appreciate the time that you take out of your day to post  and share your awesome creations with all of us bloggers out here!

Valentine's fortune cookies..

Hello to all my wonderful bloggy friends out there. First of all, I just wanted to thank you all for hanging in there with me. I had planned on making projects each week and being more up to date on my blog to share with each of you. When I participated in the blog hop in January, I gained new followers and had wonderful comments from my .."always there for me  blogging friends", because of this I wanted to be more active on my blog.
But, as life always does.. it threw me a curve, and a rather large one at that.  My mom had found a lump in  her breast and on the day that we were to go find out the results my father (who is almost 80)  lost his balance and fell down a flight of stairs. Fracturing 3 bones in his neck, his collarbone and his thumb. Soo, after he was admitted to the hospital we  were off to the doctor to find out the results of the biopsy ( had to be good news..right... after all that we had happen already. Wrong! ) She had breast cancer..needless to say we were all devestated. I have been dealing with doctor appointments, surgery and my dad having to be admitted to the nursing home, because he was not able to walk and they won't let him come home until he can do a few things for himself :(
Now that I have talked your ear off, I will show you the project that I made. I have had this idea in my head since January, just not had the time to do it. So, I made myself sit down and do it! Needed a break anyway :)   This is my first attempt at making a take-out box and the fortune cookies. I don't have a cut for the box, just traced a takeout box that I had onto some cardstock for a template and used that lol. The cookie how to's I got from Amy at Love to Crop. She is amazing at what she does.
The oh so cute fortunes are from Catarina a.k.a  Docerela Creations . Aren't they just the cutest stamps :)

Okay, that is it for me today. Thank you so much for stopping by, and lending a kind ear.
Hope you liked my project,  and that you and your loved one has a very special Valentines Day.
I am entering this into a couple challenges:
1- Docerela Challenge #7 ..Valentine's
2-My Craft Spot.... Anything Valentine's
3- Card Makin Mamas..Valentine
4- Whimsical Wednesdays--Color Theme

My Smash book video

Hello everyone, I finally got the video done for the smash book. Sorry it has taken me so long to get it going. I really rushed through it, but that is the only way I was going to get it done lol. I forgot to mention that the pages are 6 by 12 and I scored the 12 inch side in 3 inches to make the final pages 6x9 with the pocket. For the pages without pockets I just cut it 6x9, and since my papers weren't double sided I took the extra piece and glued it to the page with the pocket. :)
Thanks for stopping by.
