Smash book part 2...

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good day today. My week is still going bout the same :(
I have a couple more pages to share with you today from my smash book. I wanted to embellish them a bit more and add a couple tags, but haven't been able to do much this week due to unforseen circumstances. I did go ahead and get a couple pictures just so I could show you a little more of it.
I had some bling-y ( is that a word LOL) flourishes and added a pape flower that I got from my stash. I have had them for so long I can't remember where I got them . That is another good thing about a smash book you can just use random things ...whatever you have on hand. I have some stamps that I rarely use and I think they would be perfect for some of the pages in this. :)

I didn't really add anything to this just the paper. It has flocking on it and is textured so I'm not sure wether I want to add anything to it other than a tag for the pocket anyway. I don't have a bind it all or other binding machine. So, I just used dthe rings and puched holes in all of the paper and the cover. I think I like it better this way, because I can keep adding papers to it :)
I am going to try to go through all of the wonderful comments today while I am here at the hospital(I got wise and brought my computer with me hehe), and post the winner with the help of Mr. Random. Org.
So if your a follower and left comments on my "Blends" blog hop don't forget to check back and see if you are the lucky winner of the cricut tool kit.

Smash book ....

Hello everyone. Sorry I have been absent for a few days. I really wanted to finish tweaking  my smash book pages and do a video for you so you could see it.
But as life goes things happen and you have to take care of them first. I have been at Hospitals and Doctor offices with my parents, and it will be a little while before I can make a video.
Soo, I have a couple more pages for you to see today and I will post a couple more tomorrow.  Thanks for everyone being so patient.
I cut the inspire out of the gypsy wanderings and used the
cuttlebug folder "floral fantasy" for the pocket.

Aren't those flip flops just the cutest little things lol. I thought that the "be yourself" stamp
would go great with them hehe. I used th swiss dots cuttlebug folder and I think the stamp is from inkadinkadoo.  It was a Stampology set :) .....(sorry I will look when I get a minute and if it's not right I will fix it:) I also added some gems that I got from A.C Moore and added them to the tag. Love the gems I got them at the bargain price of just $1.
Thanks so much to all of my wonderful bloggy friends. See you back here tomorrow with a couple other pics and I will try to get the winner up for my Cricut tool kit. (Depends on how late I get back from the Hospital)

A little boy LO

Good evening everyone! I am finally home from work :)  I would say TGIF, but I have to work tomorrow too :(   Oh well, I'm just glad to have a job hehe. I'm sure I can muddle through lol.
For today I have another LO. I have to make a baby book for a friend of mine and the theme of the  baby room is caterpillar....and no not the bug!!  It is the equipment C.A.T.  Do you know how hard it is to do a book on just the Caterpillar brand lol. I have a few cuts from the Everyday paper dolls that have some cuts on it like the tow truck and a couple other things. I figured I could just use them, I couldn't find anything at the craft stores or in my cartridges hardly at all!  This is going to be really challenging.

The book will be black, yellow and white since that is the C.A.T colors and I will still try to incorporate a baby theme to it, at least a little boy theme lol.  So... Creative Scrapbooking Diva's had a challenge going on that had several sketches with it and I really liked this sketch , so I thought I would use it for one (or more lol, they had alot that I liked!!) of  the LO's.

Isn't this little dump truck just too cute! I got this cut from the B is for Boy cricut lite cartridge!!
I used some of my cuttlebug folders for some of the squares and inked over them for that sort of grungy look. I also cut some black squares and put them through my cuttlebug, because I am not sure wether I like that look or not and I may just put them over the inked squares lol. I'm going to run it by my DT hahaha (my girls) to see what they think. If I'm not sure about something I always get their oppinion.

Thanks for stopping by and I will try to get something up for you tomorrow if  I have time after work. If not I will see you back here Sunday for the Blogaversary Blog Hop, you won't want to miss it, we will be having lots of fun and some wonderful candy up for grabs.

Valentines LO

Hello all my wonderful friends. I hope you are having a wonderful day. I just got home from work and thought I would post another LO that I made.
This one is a valentines theme. I inked all the edges with the Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink, and cut the scalloped circles from my Imagine.  I didn't put a title on this one either. I like adding my pictures first then deciding what my title is going to be. :)

Aren't those boxed chocolate just too cute!! lol
I am entering this in:
1. Creative Scrapbooking Diva's- P12 2011 Challenge
2. Celebrate the Occasion- Any occasion(must use polka dots)
Thanks for stopping by, I will have another LO post for you tomorrow.

Brrr....

Hello to all of my wonderful bloggy friends! Just wanted to share a LO I did with you. Over at the Creative Scrapbooking Diva's they have a challenge going on. They have Lo sketches that you can follow or make your own for a yearly review. I really liked the sketches and it's nice to be able to have something to go by for a LO. (I pretty much obsess about where I am going to put my pictures, embellishments, etc). Now all I have to obsess over  figure out is what papers I want to use hehehe.
This is my LO that I created for the January sketch.
I got the little girl with the snowman cut from A child's year.  Not sure about the size. I had cut it out last year for a project and ended up not using it...sooo I thought it would be perfect for this LO. I have the perfect  pictures to add to this too. I have some of the girls from a couple years ago outside in the snow playing and building a snowman.

Wasn't sure what kind of title I wanted to use, figured once I got my pictures down it would come to me lol.  If you get  a chance stop over at the CSD's site and check out the LO sketches. The challenge ends on the 20th so you still have a day or so to get cracking on your LO"s .
I am also going to enter this into a few challenges
1- My craft spot- "Snow much fun"
2. Fantabulous Cricket- "Snow theme"

Thanks for stopping by and  I'll see you tomorrow with another LO.  Also, don't forget to stop by and HOP with us for Jessica's Blogaversary. It's gonna be lots of fun and there is some awesome candy up for grabs.

Creamcicle fudge

Hello to all my wonderful bloggy friends. I hope you are having a wonderful day today. It's cold here and we got a little bit of snow last night. So I am trying to keep warm lol.
For today, I thought I would share my creamcile fudge with you. I made alot of candy over the holidays and posted some pics of them. I didn't get a pic of my creamcile fudge and someone wanted another order of it, sooo I remembered to take a picture of it this time hehe. I also had someone ask me for the recipe, I will post it after the picture. This is really a yummy version of fudge, I tried it last year and it was an instant hit with my family.
Doesn't it look delish!!
This is the recipe I used:
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
5 oz evaporated milk
7 oz. container marshmallow creme
1 bag of  white vanilla chips
1 tsp orange extract
yellow and red food coloring

Bring the first 3 ingredients to a rolling boil , boil for 4 minutes or until your candy thermometer reaches the soft ball stage. Take off  of the heat and add the marshmallow creme and flavored chips. Stir together until all is melted. Take out about a cup of  the mixture and reserve in a bowl. To the remaining fudge add the orange extract and about 6 drops of yellow food coloring and 6 drops of red food coloring.
Mix together and pour into a prepared pan. (I line mine with wax paper letting it hang over the sides so it will lift out easily,  you can use a 9x9 or 9x13 depending on how thick you want your fudge to be). Spread it evenly along the pan.
Take your reserved mixture and drop spoonfulls of it on top of the orange fudge. Take a knife and run it throught the white fudge to make a swirled pattern in the fudge. Let cool.
Slice and ENJOY!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
